As CEO, Chad focuses his efforts on delivering results. Chad Oversees all corporate compliance within the Bath Solutions brand and drives value back to their franchise partners. Franchise unit sales are one of the best metrics of success in the franchising world, and he has proven his ability to close as Five Star brands continue to see success. Chad has been involved in all aspects of the home service industry and this home service background enables him to guide the company in growth trajectory. He was involved in the start up and growth as a franchisor developing one of North America’s leading service brands. Jones has started and operated his own companies since 2000; this entrepreneurism ties the franchisee experience to the potential of their investment. Chad has successfully demonstrated the ability to negotiate and structure single unit and master franchise deals even in a recessionary market. He has many close connections to franchise broker networks and key consultants in the industry. Chad has also been part of several large exits and demonstrated the ability to drive growth to profitable outcomes. Chads’ companies have received several awards including growth awards in Utah and Nationally.


Dean Hartley, Brand President – Five Star Bath Solutions

Dean Hartley

  • Directs Bath Solutions franchise systems and processes to assist franchisees in growing successful, profitable businesses
  • Over 15 years of experience in the one-day bathroom remodeling industry
  • Six years of experience as the operations manager of a bathroom remodeling company
  • Most recently held the position of VP of Sales and Marketing with Design Imaging
  • Graduated from the University of Michigan in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in history, and finished his last semester at St. Peter’s College in Oxford, United Kingdom

As Brand President of Bath Solutions, Dean Hartley directs franchise systems and processes to assist franchisees in growing successful, profitable businesses. Dean brings over 15 years of experience in the one-day bathroom remodeling industry and a vast knowledge base to assist in building the Bath Solutions franchise system. Dean’s career highlights include: Opening and running his own remodeling company, six years of experience as the operations manager of a bathroom remodeling company, and time spent in the wholesale market offering Sentrel one-day bath products to independent dealers in the U.S. and Canada. Before joining Bath Solutions, he most recently held the position of VP of Sales and Marketing with Design Imaging, creator of Sentrel, where he supported dealers with sales and technical assistance. Dean graduated from the University of Michigan in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in history and finished his last semester at St. Peter’s College in Oxford, United Kingdom.


Brandon Wallengren, Partner

Brandon Wallengren

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in Spanish from Westminster College
  • Executive MBA from Brigham Young University

Brandon directs the marketing efforts of the Five Star brands to ensure each franchisee is positioned for successful market growth and exposure. Having served as the Senior Vice President of Sales at Pedersen Worldwide, Brandon was involved in numerous areas of the business for its two international retail brands – Del Sol and Cariloha. Having also graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, with a minor in Spanish from Westminster College and an Executive MBA from Brigham Young University, Brandon complements his education with a variety of business experiences. His vast sales experience combined with his marketing expertise allow him to capitalize on business opportunities for the ongoing success of Five Star Franchising. Brandon is a native of Utah but has also lived in South America. He currently resides in Northern Utah with his wife and three children.


Matthew Morrison, General Counsel

Matt Morrison

  • Directs the company’s corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contract administration efforts across all franchise lines
  • Seven years of experience as an attorney
  • Experience in sophisticated as well as routine litigation and expertise in all phases of civil litigation, legal research and writing, and appellate practice
  • Juris doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law
  • Bachelor’s degree in history from Brigham Young University

As General Counsel, Matt directs corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contract administration efforts across all franchise lines. Matt joined Five Star Franchising after seven years of experience as an attorney, having advised companies as outside counsel, as well as in-house. His specialties include: litigation, real estate, corporate law, civil disputes, insurance representation, corporate counseling, dispute resolution, risk management, regulatory counsel, and compliance. Matt has managed and litigated disputes between parties and negotiated settlements across the spectrum of civil litigation, including probative discovery, successful motions practice, legal research and writing, appellate practice, and legal consultation to individuals and business entities. Some of his further experience includes digesting and monitoring updates to the legal landscape to advise clients or departments and successfully adapt policies and procedures to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as to manage risk effectively. Matt earned both a bachelor’s degree in history from Brigham Young University and a juris doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
